Jake and Duke are six-year-old westie brothers available for adoption through Wag N Train Terrier Rescue. They are housetrained, wonderful with people and dogs, and know “sit.”

This is Jake…as you can see he has a beautiful grin and happiness just emanates from him.

This is Duke. He is very inquisitive and was pretty stoked for his close-up.

These guys have been together their whole lives, so it would be ideal that they be adopted together.

These two are the epitome of easygoing and happy-go-lucky. With them around, you really can’t help but smile…

…they have some pretty sweet dance moves…

…and as an added bonus, you have the pleasure of witnessing matching happy tail wags!

Belle is now taking applications for the position of her forever family. She is a six-year-old westie and is overjoyed to be out of a puppy mill and on her way to becoming a valued companion. Belle is incredibly sweet, giving kisses any chance she gets. Great name – or – greatest name? Carlos is a 4-year-old short-haired pekingese. He can de-stuff a squeeker toy in record time and as you can see, has some pretty killer dance moves. He is a man of many expressions and his smiley face is perfectly framed by his crooked half-stache.

Another Omaha business is sporting some brand new Farrah Grant Photography prints. Lyn from 24th St Animal Clinic was recently in Soggy Paws, noticed the prints there, and decided it was high time the clinic updated their walls.

The middle print is a 16×20 which is bookended by 20x20s.

While I was there I met Snoopy the toy poodle! She is a 6 year-old puppy mill rescue from Missouri. Keep in mind, when breeder dogs are no longer useful, it is commonplace to “take them out back and shoot them.” Ms. Snoopy was scooped up and is now happily living in foster care, learning the joys of being a companion. She has been spayed, had a full dental, micro-chipped, tested negative for heartworm and is current on shots and heartworm preventative. She is fine with other dogs and children but wanted me to let you know she would prefer to be the center of attention.

You can meet Snoopy in person at Soggy Paws (14th and Jackson) this Saturday, February 25th, starting at 11:00. If you aren’t the right match for Snoopy, perhaps you know someone who is? Let’s get this girl into a forever home!

Nebraska Heart Gallery

The idea for a “heart gallery” began in New Mexico with goal of bringing awareness to the thousands of children in foster care, waiting to belong to a forever family. After great success, the idea spread, and now professional photographers all over the country volunteer their time, capturing images of these deserving children. I am honored to be a small part of the Nebraska Heart Gallery. For legal reasons, I cannot share photos of the children here, but I encourage you to view them on the Heart Gallery’s website: www.nebraskaheartgallery.org. Additionally, the traveling print exhibit will be on display at Oak View Mall starting Monday, February 13th, so stop by! In Sanskrit, “Leela” means “play.” And that is just what we did.

She is stunning in all her puppy awkwardness. Her skin wiggles around and looks like a shirt two sizes too large. Then there are those ears. And those PAWS. She is going to be one {big} girl.
